The Diploma in Executive Coaching Level 7 Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) was run by Taylor Clarke in 2024 and I graduated that same year.  I came to the course as an experienced Senior Executive with little formal coaching experience.

Online proved to be an excellent medium with intense peer-to-peer work and coaching training.  The workshop and course facilitation by Gwynneth Rees-Kenny was stimulating, well-paced and provided a deep grounding in the relevant theoretical and practical aspects of executive coaching.  All learner coaches were provided with supervision that helped us to reflect on our emerging practice, evaluate, and to improve our skills, knowledge and confidence.  The written material was well produced, useful and efficient; all questions were answered swiftly and helpfully.  Our online peer group collaborated highly successfully and bonded well.

The course took me from beginner status to running my own successful executive coaching business; that is a real accolade and strong commendation.

I completed and passed the ILM 7 Diploma in Executive Coaching a year ago with Taylor Clarke.  The support from the teaching team is excellent – they are always on hand to provide practical and tangible guidance as well as introducing new models and frameworks to help your coaching practice!  The majority of the course was delivered during the pandemic and whilst it would have been better to have been face to face the superb teaching made it a success.

A year after finishing the ILM Level 7 Diploma in Executive Coaching, I still use what I learnt on a daily basis from doing 1:1 coaching sessions, supporting my team to problem solve better ways of working and listening to family and friends.

The team at Taylor Clarke are supportive and the supervision sessions give you the inspiration to complete the course, when work and home live is busy.

The two best skills I learnt on this course is to how meaningfully self-reflect and actively listen, rather than waiting to respond.

I undertook the ILM Level 7 Diploma in Executive Coaching from April 22 – June 23 through Taylor Clarke. The quality of the teaching, the ongoing support, and the other participants made this course both thoroughly enjoyable and stimulating.  I learnt new models and frameworks, I re-learnt some skills around assignment writing and I un-learnt some behaviours around what I “thought” it was to be a coach. 

Overall it was a really rewarding and energising course to be a part of and I have really enjoyed putting my learning into practice in my role.  I would recommend Taylor Clarke and this course to support ongoing personal development in the area of Executive Coaching.

Completing the ILM Level 7 Executive Coaching certificate has proved to a transformational experience for me as a developing coach.  I am now able to approach coaching with confidence and belief in the effectiveness of the strategies that I employ.  Its influence has extended beyond my direct coaching; it has had a significant impact on my own leadership approach and those of my colleagues.  My thanks to TaylorClarke for a well organised and stimulating course.  I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to develop their capacity to operate successfully at the Senior Executive level.

The ILM level7 executive coaching course was excellent. It felt the epitome of self-development in a way that surprised me! I entered the course to develop skills to support others and due to the knowledge, professionalism, and experience of the team my own growth was facilitated.
