About the event
Let’s Talk about why leaving emotions at the door when going to work does not work and how to help leaders use emotions to build trust, influence others positively and reduce the wear and tear of unexpressed frustrations.
Why not join other like-minded human resource professionals in our free 45 minute virtual, live, facilitated discussion and learning session on Wednesday, 11th February at 12.30 pm with Jonty Leicester
For many leaders, the expression of how they really feel at work is often leaked in unhelpful ways through gossip, furtive glances, sighs and clumsy attempts to move on and brush over the feelings in the room. In this session we will be exploring why feelings are often the canary in the coal mine signalling what is really going on. How to turn these reactions into the gold dust that can be communicated with positive intention to have the impact that can vary from building trust, changing how others behave and even inspiring a more fruitful vision of the future. Too often, leaders use a purely rational approach at work. This leads to a missed opportunity to create a more fulfilling and engaging place for everyone who works there.
Let’s Talk about supporting leaders to harness the power of emotions at work on Wednesday, 11th February at 12.30 pm? We will be exploring:
How to notice when emotions arise and how to name them
Why it is important that leaders’ express emotions to develop their power as a leader
How to direct emotions in three different directions to create three quite different outcomes
A simple formula and guide to coach leaders to use each approach
What you can expect:
A chance to explore the key questions above and how relevant they are to your organisation.
A space to share your own experiences, test ideas and learn from human resource professionals in other organisations and industries
Insight, guidance and coaching from Jonty Leicester who is an expert in behavioural skills development
