Barry is an experienced business leader who is committed to supporting leaders and their organisations exceed their perceived potential and transform performance. He brings extensive experience of building and developing leadership teams, employee engagement and operational delivery across a portfolio career gained over 30 years within the John Lewis Partnership, the UK’s largest employee-owned organisation.
Barry has a particular interest in the role of leaders to enable long term, sustainable success through unlocking the capability within their teams and brings this to bear in his consultancy and coaching interventions. He has seen the difference it makes when culture and people are placed ahead of process to effect positive change and helps organisations by exploring purpose, role modelling, employee engagement and the leader’s responsibility to empower at all levels.
An operational leader at heart with a wry sense of humour, Barry is goal-oriented, highly pragmatic and guided by integrity in supporting his clients to develop the capacity within themselves to achieve their personal and organisational goals. He gives his clients a safe, supportive, encouraging environment to explore what is important to them and their organisations to increase their effectiveness and satisfaction.
When not working Barry enjoys getting out and about in his campervan and is (slowly!) ticking off the Munro mountains in Scotland.
