Through a career forged in financial services Fiona has extensive experience of leading people particularly through change and implementing change agendas in a variety of teams. Working with Regional Directors and their senior management teams to develop skills, equip and prepare them for organisational change.  Fiona augmented her corporate skills and experience and is now an independent Leadership Development Consultant and Coach, working with CEOs, Managing Partners and their senior teams both at team and 121 level.

 

In addition to direct client engagement, Fiona has been lecturing part-time at Glasgow Caledonian University to Masters Students, and Level 4 Undergraduates in modules such as, Leading Change through a Global Context, Managing & Developing Talent, and Performance Management as well as supervising student dissertations and research projects. With both Performance Management and Mentoring as key areas of her research, this has allowed Fiona to put theoretical knowledge into practice in both her Corporate and University life.

Key pieces of work include:
 

  • Delivery of Managers Excellent Programme to Global Financial Services Organisation including Wealth Management practitioners.
     

  • Roll out of Leadership Programme to CEO, SMT and People Leaders at Glasgow Based Charity. The core aim of the programme was to equip all people managers, including coaching the CEO and her SMT with the knowledge, tools and confidence to effectively carry out their role. In addition, with a pending premises move, people leaders have to support the transition of all staff to a new build hospice by understanding new and developing models of care together with a new income generation strategy, while functioning within a diverse and challenging landscape.  The 3-day programme was delivered over a month. One to one coaching was also provided to the CEO.
     

  • As the HR Professional formed part of Project team for firm of Architects working with a for a large Financial Services organisation for an organisational wide change initiative. This involved the facilitation of Culture and Change transformation workshops for Senior Management: including 121 interviews to identify leadership and influencing skills. Interviewed 31 Senior Management, including CEO for Scotland.

  • Development Coaching programme for Private Sector Surveying firm. 121 coaching with Directors, and Partners. Additionally, working closely with Managing Partner and senior management committee to develop People Strategy.
