With over 20 years in senior leadership roles in Financial Services and more recently working as a consultant and coach, Dougie is highly experienced in the management of change and development of leaders.

Dougie has spent more than 10 years playing a key role in organisational design, culture and process transformation working with global teams. Prior to that he held various leadership positions where he built a reputation for delivering outstanding performance by unleashing the potential of individuals and teams whilst transforming ways of working.

Working with senior leaders and their teams to embed effective transformation and project management methodologies, Dougie ensures a carefully considered people strategy remains at the core. He has helped many business leaders ensure that the business vision for the future was communicated in a way that was compelling at all levels, reducing the resistance to change and providing a strong foundation for progress.

Dougie combines extensive hands on personal experience of leading through change with the theories and models he has explored as a certified Prosci Change Management and Agile Project Management Practitioner. Dougie has seen the huge impact effective leadership can have on businesses going through change and works with senior leaders to ensure that difficult business decisions are implemented in a way that unleashes potential whilst minimising risks.

As a Director/Trustee with Beith Community Development Trust, Dougie supports the charity in their goal to create local wealth and jobs by bringing money into the community, as well as working to improve community engagement and inclusion. The Trust works to improve mental and physical health in the local area “one person at a time” through various activities including those related to sport, creative arts and wellbeing.

Dougie also uses his experience in leadership and coaching to work (pro bono) as a Leadership Programme Group Facilitator with Common Purpose, a not for profit organisation devoted to developing leaders who can cross boundaries between geographies, generations, sectors, specializations, backgrounds and beliefs.
