About The Event
For a number of years now, we’ve been facilitating women leaders’ development and we’re keen to ensure it doesn’t get put on the back burner during the upheaval of Covid-19.
On the one hand, we’re reading positive headlines about the effective handling of the pandemic by female global leaders, including Angela Merkel, Jacinda Ardern. In a recent study, cited in a Forbes’ article, found that ‘women were more risk averse when it came to human lives, and as such closed their country earlier than their male counterpart, when they were seeing fewer deaths but [contrary to popular opinion, women] were less risk averse when it came to the economy’ The researchers suggest that perhaps it’s time to abide by some of the female attributes of leadership including empathy and clearly communication.
At the same time, however, we’re also aware of reports highlighting the adverse impact of Covid-19 on many women who have had to working double shifts i.e. working from home while at the same time caring for/home schooling their children. In addition, reports highlight that more women were furloughed and/or being made redundant.
We are interested in exploring what the impact of the pandemic means for you as women leaders, to provide an opportunity for you to share and discuss the particular challenges you’ve had to deal with, as well as considering the strengths you’ve drawn upon and displayed during this crisis period.
Join us in this live, facilitated Let’s Talk on Women’s leadership.
We will be exploring:
- What particular challenges have you had to face during the pandemic so far as a woman with leadership responsibilities?
- What strengths have come to the fore for you?
- What are you learning from this time that you want to hold on to?
What you can expect:
- A chance to explore the key questions above and the space to reflect on the impact of the pandemic on you.
- A space to share your own experiences with other women leaders, test ideas and learn from leaders in other organisations and industries
- Insight, guidance and coaching from Taylor Clarke facilitators
- An opportunity to ask the questions that are important to you in shaping your leadership.
